ABOUT US

Keith Ballurio, Co-Founder & Chief of Operations

Born in Southern Jersey, Keith has followed a winding course from computer technologist and author, finally returning to his first love - music - as a solo guitar artist.  Never able to find the perfect sound, he started experimenting with developing the "perfect guitar." In this pursuit, he established Ballurio Guitars - a custom guitar shop that not only builds electric guitars but also offers customer components and pickups.

In 2009 Keith, inspired by his love of music, founded the The Traveling Guitar Program to fund music education and music programs for those who may not have the resources to experience the joy of music.

Jack Hadley, Logistics

Born in the Philippines, Jack Hadley grew up in the Haight-Ashbury district of San Francisco. When he was twelve, his mother bought him an acoustic guitar to keep him busy. When the family moved to Denver, CO, he learned to play music by ear, unaware that he was learning the foundation of American music – the blues.

In Denver, Jack played in a number of bands performing as a hired gun and solo artist. A few years ago he started The Jack Hadley Band, a blues-based project, to focus on writing and performing his original material. In 2005, Jack was playing at a local club when he was approached by blues veteran Otis Taylor. For the next 18 months, Jack was Taylor’s lead guitarist, playing at festivals and shows all over the U.S., Canada and the U.K. In 2006, he recorded two songs with keyboard wizard Steve McQuarry at the legendary Hyde Street Studios in San Francisco including his revolutionary track "You & Me". He appears on Otis Taylor’s 2007 release “Definition Of A Circle” playing lead and lap steel guitar. The fall of 2007 marked the beginning of a new project with bluesman Dan Treanor. They recorded "Brothers, Blood & Bone", a fresh look at the blues that includes new songs from Treanor and Hadley along with their updated versions of classics from Blind Lemon Jefferson, Sonny Boy Williamson, and Walter "Billy Boy" Arnold. Jack's latest solo project, "Deeper", was released in 2008. It includes eleven original songs that reflect his own take on the blues with a heavy dose of funk and soul. Check Jack out at:
